How to clean out your 808 basses

How to clean out your 808 basses
If there is an instrument I love to play with its probably the 808 bass!
So today am going to show you how to set up and clean your 808 bass (this tutorial doesn’t apply to 808’s that are housed by VST’s e.g.  Trapboom ) so that it comes out nicely.
Am assuming that you already have Fruity Loop Studio installed, and an 808 soundpack that you have downloaded. If you do not have an 808 soundpack you can get one from http://www.freedrumkits.net and http://www.trisamples.com
Step 1: Find your 808 bass and add it  to the step sequencer.
Right click your 808 bass and then click on open in new channel

Step 2: Click on the 808 bass that you have added to the step sequencer to bring up the channel settings. When the channel settings menu pops up click on the INS tab and then select the VOL envelope tab.

Step 3: Adjust the ADSR (attack, delay, sustain and release)
Click on the att knob and reduce the attack, do the same for the dec, sus and rel knobs. The idea is to get a square like curve. After you do this, your bass should not continue playing or echoing after you stop pressing the key or playing it in the piano roll /step sequencer.

If you continue to hear any noise or sound that you do not like then you can proceed to step 4 .
Step 4:  Adjust the pre- computed effects.  This is something you do not want to overdo, so do it with caution. Go to the loop panel and unmark loop using points . if you continue to hear any noise or unwanted sound then go to the pre-computed effects tab and then click-and-hold the out knob .Thereafter , adjust the knob until you you can nolonger hear the unwanted sound or it until it becomes faint.

If you have any questions please post them in the comments section.

I Came I Saw I Trumped !!

From Rae Sremmurd to YG, to Asher Roth or is it Mike Posner? … Anyway, Donald Trump is one guy who been rapped and sung about quite a lot of times.
Personally, Donald Trump Snr is a role model to me. I like how he is so bold, determined, and frank. He is also very hardworking and that’s why this guy is just amazing.
I first heard about Donald trump from the movie “Home Alone”. As I continued to hear about this guy I grew more and more curious and then one day, when I was in high school, I stumbled upon a book he wrote – The Art of Deal.  The book gave me insight into the mind of this once-in-a-life-time guy.  From that point on wards he became a role model.

Now that my role model is about to become #POTUS I thought of making a beat for him . The beat is titled “Trumpin” and  it will drop on the 20th of January at 18 00 CAT. Trumpin’ will be available from audiomack and soundcloud. Trumpin’ is about being bold  and never giving up!
